How can I start over with Google Sync?

Overview. You may want to reset your google sync if you're doing a lot of testing with one Google account and then want to get rid of all the test calendars and start using new calendars. Since iCal is a live connection to your ZuluCalendarList table, anything you do there will just show up in iCal, but since we maintain a sync database for each Google account you'll need to clear this before starting over.

Starting Over. So, here is how to start over with Google sync. Perform these steps in this order...

Google Calendars

1. Set the syncing options to manual if currently running auto-sync form the zulu/admin page.
2. Delete your sync database: this is the database Zulu uses to keep track of the sync between FileMaker and Google. Newer versions of Zulu have a button on the Zulu Admin page (<yourserveraddress>/zulu/admin) to delete this database. The button says "Delete Sync Data."
In older versions of Zulu can find the location of the "ZuluSync" folder at the bottom of the Zulu Admin screen. It looks like this: C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\ZuluSync. Find that folder on the server where you've installed Zulu and delete the whole ZuluSync folder.
3. Delete the Calendars from Google. This can now be done as part as part of the above step. After you hit the "Delete Sync Data" button you have the option to specify which Google Calendars should be deleted. Delete all of them.
In older versions of Zulu will need to manually delete the calendars from Google.
5. That's it. Now that you've cleaned the slate you can start fresh with a new Google Setup.

Google Contacts

1. Set the syncing options to manual if currently running auto-sync form the zulu/admin page.
2. Delete Sync Data. Delete the Contact Sync folder using the link on the zulu/admin page: Delete Sync Data.
3. Delete Contacts from Google. Delete all the ZuluContacts in Google as well as any groups created by Zulu, i.e. ZuluContacts.
4. Delete Groups. Delete all ZuluContactGroup records in FileMaker, Zulu will repopulate with the next sync.
5. Clear Group Data. Clear the contents of the field ZuluContacts::_id_Group. This will also reset your zulu_MODIFICATIONTIMESTAMP field, which is also necessary.
6. Change IDs. Change the zulu_uuid value for the ZuluContactConfig record. This should be a unique value that Google hasn't seen before.
7. That's it. Now that you've cleaned the slate you can start fresh with a new Google Setup.
