There have been many backend changes to Zulu starting in Zulu 3 so if you are upgrading from Zulu 2 to a later version, you will likely need to take steps to get your calendars working again. Instructions vary depending on the type of calendars you are syncing. Please see the appropriate section below for your use case.

When Using Apple Calendars

  • Install the new version of Zulu, and register your application again.
  • You will need to re-publish your calendars in order to get Apple Calendars working again. See here for more details: Calendars and Publishing

When Syncing with Google or Exchange Calendars

Zulu.xml Customization

The Zulu installer will not overwrite an existing zulu.xml file. This is good because if you had customizations here, they will not be replaced if you were to install a new version of Zulu. The downside to this is that we have added a few more customization options to the zulu.xml file that you may want to take advantage of. You can see a list of customization options available in the zulu.xml file here: Zulu - Advanced Settings

You can download the latest version of the zulu.xml file here: zulu.xml

Compare this file with the one you are using, and you can copy parameters into your own zulu.xml file if you want the customization option.
