Manage Licenses on 360Store

Everything you buy from 360Works is managed at store.360works.com: buying licenses, renewing them, turning automatic renewal on or off, changing the card on file, upgrading to a newer version or a larger license, adding MirrorSync capabilities, and generating a written quote for your purchasing department.

This page walks through all of it.

Signing in to manage your licenses

Go to My Licenses and enter your email address. We email you a secure, one-time login link — there is no password to remember.

Once you're in, you see every license purchased with that email address in one table, with columns for product, version, Registered To, order number, renewal date, auto-renew status, and renewal price. You can filter and sort the list, which helps if you own a lot of licenses. Each row has an Actions menu, and that's where nearly everything on this page starts.

A license is missing from the list

Licenses appear under the email address that bought them, so a license a colleague purchased, or one bought under an old address, won't be there at first. Scroll to the bottom of My Licenses and click Link License by Key, then enter the license key and Registered To name. The license is attached to your account permanently — you only have to do this once, and it will be in your list every time you log in from then on.

Tip:

The Registered To name has to match exactly. If you're not sure what it is, check your original purchase receipt, or look at the product itself — MirrorSync, for example, shows it in the Licensing dialog of the configuration client.

If you don't have the license key at all, email support@360works.com from an address connected to the purchase and we'll look it up for you.

Buying a license

  1. Pick your product from store.360works.com, or use the purchase link on the product's page at 360works.com. MirrorSync has its own order form — see Buying and expanding MirrorSync.
  2. Choose a license type on the left. The panel on the right explains what that license type allows for that specific product, and the price appears next to each one.
  3. Click Buy (or Download, for free and demo license types) to add it to your cart.
  4. At checkout, tell us whether you're buying for your own company or for a client, choose automatic or manual renewal if you're offered the choice, fill in your billing details, and pay.

Your license key and receipt are emailed to you as soon as the payment is approved.

License types

Most products are sold in several license types. The exact set and the exact terms vary by product, so always read the details panel next to the license type you're considering, but the common ones are:

License typeGenerally means
DemoFree. Functional limits so you can evaluate the product before buying.
Single UserOne user or one machine.
WorkgroupThe standard license. Covers one solution on one server for your own organization.
EnterpriseUnlimited solutions on a single server, for your own organization.
Solution BundleA single solution (which may be many files) deployed to unlimited servers — for vertical-market developers shipping one product to many customers.
DeveloperFor development and testing rather than production use.
Note:

Discounts are available for approved non-profit and educational customers, and there are volume programs for very large device counts and for Claris Partners. Email support@360works.com before you buy.

"Registered To" versus "Purchasing Company"

  • Registered To is the company the license belongs to, and it's built into the license key. You need it whenever you look the license up.
  • Purchasing Company is optional and only appears on the paperwork. Use it when a reseller, parent company, or procurement department is paying for a license that belongs to someone else.

Buying for a client

At checkout, click A Customer/Client. If you buy for clients regularly, you can create a reseller account, which keeps your purchases, invoices, and renewals together in one place. Email support@360works.com and we'll help you get one set up.

If you have a partner promo code, you'll be asked how you want your commission: applied as a discount to this order (and you bill your client full price), or paid to you afterward by check, in which case the order is charged at full price and the discount never appears on the receipt your client sees.

Paying

Credit and debit cards are entered in a secure frame hosted by our payment processor, so we never see or store your card number.

Paying by bank transfer (ACH / eCheck) is also possible. Give us a call at 770-234-9293 and we'll walk you through setting it up.

Important:

Automatic renewal and subscription products require a credit card, because a bank account can't be kept on file for recurring charges.

Everything is priced in US dollars. There's no tax or shipping, since all delivery is electronic.

Promo codes, PO numbers, and other checkout fields

  • Promotional Code — enter it and click Apply Promo Code before submitting the order. The discount appears in the order summary immediately.
  • Optional Comments / PO # — whatever you type here is printed on your receipt. Use it for your own PO or VAT number. We can't accept purchase orders as payment; license keys are delivered once payment clears.
  • Additional Email (Technical) — a second address that receives a copy of the receipt and future notices, for when billing and technical contacts are different people.

How 360Works licenses are sold

There are three ways a 360Works license can work, and the difference decides what happens when a renewal date passes. When you buy, the store tells you which one applies; afterward, My Licenses shows a renewal date only for licenses that have one.

Version-based licenses

Most plug-ins are sold this way — FTPeek and 360Works Email, for example. You buy a major version and get every update within that version free, forever. There's no renewal date and nothing to renew. When we release the next major version, you can buy an upgrade at a reduced price, or keep running the version you own indefinitely.

Maintenance licenses

The license itself is perpetual, and it comes with a maintenance period — one year to start — during which you receive all updates for that product, minor and major. Maintenance is billed annually.

If you let maintenance lapse, nothing stops working. You keep using every version released on or before your maintenance end date, forever; you just stop receiving newer ones. Renewing costs a fraction of the purchase price, and the exact amount is always shown before you pay.

Example:

You buy a maintenance license in March 2026, so maintenance runs through March 2027. Version 4.2 ships in June 2026 and version 5.0 in January 2027; both are yours at no charge. You decide not to renew. Version 5.1 ships in May 2027 and you aren't entitled to it — but you can keep running 5.0 in production indefinitely. Renewing later puts you back on the newest release.

Subscriptions

MirrorSync is a subscription. An active subscription is required for the software to run at all, so if it lapses, syncing stops until you reactivate. Renewal is the price of an equivalent license today, and subscriptions renew automatically by default for exactly that reason.

Subscriptions can be billed monthly, quarterly, or yearly, and you can switch between them — see Changing your billing period.

Portfolio licenses

A Portfolio License isn't a third license type so much as a bundle: one subscription that grants you access to both MirrorSync and the plug-ins. Instead of tracking a maintenance date per product, you keep one Portfolio license current and everything it covers stays available to you.

See Buying and renewing a Portfolio license below for buying one, redeeming licenses you already own toward it, and what affects its renewal price.

Renewing

When renewal happens

WhenWhat happens
About 30 days before your renewal dateWe email you. If auto-renew is on, the email confirms the amount, the card we'll charge, and the date. If it's off, it's a reminder with a renewal link.
5 days before your renewal dateAuto-renew charges your card. We do this a few days early on purpose, so a declined card can be sorted out before your coverage actually lapses.
Your renewal dateCoverage ends if nothing was renewed.
Up to 30 days after your renewal dateGrace period. You can still renew at the normal price, and your coverage picks up right where it left off — you don't pay extra to close the gap, and your renewal anniversary stays where it was.
More than 30 days after your renewal dateAuto-renew no longer runs on its own. You can still renew, but the new term starts from the day you renew rather than continuing from the old end date.

You can renew as early as you like — up to about a year ahead. Renewing early never costs you time, because the new term is added to your existing renewal date, not to today's date.

Renewing manually

In My Licenses, open the Actions menu and choose Renew Manually…, then complete checkout. You can also do it from the license details window with Renew Manually Now. Several licenses can be renewed in a single order.

The option only appears when the license is renewable and auto-renew is off. If auto-renew is on, there's nothing to do — renewing by hand as well would just charge you twice.

Your license key after renewing or upgrading

Every renewal and every upgrade issues a new license key, with your new coverage date built into it. It's on the receipt, and in My Licenses under Actions → Show Details.

You don't have to go and deploy it. When we issue the new key, we also update the record behind your existing key so that it covers the newer versions you're now entitled to. Both keys are valid. Use whichever is less trouble — the one already pasted into your solution, or the new one.

This applies to version upgrades as well, including major-version upgrades of products that have no maintenance or subscription attached. If you upgrade a product from version 4 to version 5, your version 4 key is updated to work with version 5; you don't have to hunt down every script and preference file where the old key is stored.

The new key is still worth grabbing for a fresh install, or when you want a key that shows the current dates on its face.

Seeing how a renewal price was calculated

Choose Actions → Show Details and you'll see the dates your coverage runs from and to, the price, and a line-by-line breakdown of how it was worked out. For MirrorSync there's an additional table showing what an equivalent license would cost to buy today, since that's the basis for its renewal price.

Renewals that aren't possible online

A few licenses can't be renewed in the store: licenses with a fixed expiration date, licenses that have been deactivated, and add-on items, since you renew the license they were added to rather than the add-on itself. Email support@360works.com if a license looks unrenewable and you think it shouldn't be.

Managing auto-renew

Auto-renew charges the card on file about 5 days before each renewal date so your coverage doesn't lapse.

  • Maintenance licenses get a 10% discount for choosing auto-renew, at purchase and at every renewal.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically by default, because they stop working otherwise.
  • Renewals are charged at the then-current rate, and we give at least 30 days' notice of any price change.
  • You always get an email roughly a month before a charge, and you can cancel any time before it runs.
  • Auto-renew requires a credit card.

Turning it on or off

In My Licenses, choose Actions → Show Details, then use Enable Auto-Renew or Disable Auto-Renew.

Turning auto-renew off on a subscription doesn't cancel what you've already paid for — you keep service through the end of the current term — but the product will stop working at that point unless you renew manually.

"Auto-renewal failed"

If the card is declined or expired, or the billing address no longer matches, My Licenses shows the auto-renew status as Failed and we email you. Nothing further is attempted until you update your payment details, which is what the grace period is for. Follow the steps under Updating payment information; when you save a valid card, the missed renewal is charged right away.

International cards are occasionally declined for reasons we can't resolve from our end. If a card keeps failing and your bank confirms nothing is wrong, contact support@360works.com and we'll arrange another way to take the payment.

Changing your billing period

Subscription licenses can be billed on any of three schedules, and you can move between them in either direction as often as you like:

  • Monthly — one twelfth of the annual price, charged every month
  • Quarterly — one quarter of the annual price, charged every three months
  • Yearly — the full annual price, charged once a year

New MirrorSync subscriptions start out billed monthly. Longer-standing MirrorSync licenses are billed yearly, and can move to monthly or quarterly if that suits your budgeting better — or stay exactly as they are.

To change it, choose Actions → Show Details in My Licenses and click Change Billing Period. The Billed column in the licenses table shows the current schedule for each license.

The change takes effect at your next renewal. Nothing is charged or refunded at the moment you switch, and the period you've already paid for is unaffected — only the size of the next charge and the date it falls on change.

Note:

Monthly and quarterly billing require a credit card on file, since they're recurring charges. If you're asked to update your payment information first, see Updating payment information.

Maintenance licenses are always billed annually, so this option doesn't appear for them. A perpetual license keeps working when maintenance lapses, so there's nothing to meter month by month.

Updating payment information

Use this whenever your card is replaced or expires, or after an auto-renewal has failed.

  1. In My Licenses, choose Actions → Show Details → Edit Payment Info. The links in our payment-failure emails go to the same place.
  2. Confirm the billing name, email, and address, then enter the new card.
  3. Under Apply Updated Payment Info To, check every license that should use the new card. Anything left unchecked keeps its existing payment settings.
  4. Click Apply.

What happens next depends on the license:

  • Still active — the card is validated and saved, ready for your next renewal.
  • Lapsed within the last 30 days — the missed renewal is charged immediately, catching the license up.
  • Lapsed more than 30 days ago — the card is saved but nothing is charged. We won't quietly back-bill a long lapse; renew the license manually instead and the new card will be used.
Note:

Saving a card for a license here also turns auto-renew on for it. If you only wanted the card on file, turn auto-renew back off afterward from the license details window.

Upgrading a license

Both kinds of upgrade start from Actions → Upgrade / Buy Newer Version in My Licenses:

  • A newer version of a product you already own.
  • A larger license type — moving from Workgroup to Enterprise as your deployment grows, for example.

Enter your existing license key and Registered To name, choose the version you're upgrading from, and the store lists each available upgrade with its price. Upgrade pricing credits what you already paid, so it costs less than buying new.

Your old license key keeps working after an upgrade — see Your license key after renewing or upgrading.

Note:

If you have a maintenance license and maintenance is currently active, you already have the right to the newest version — just download it and use your existing key. Renewing your maintenance is what keeps that true; you don't need to buy a version upgrade.

Buying and expanding MirrorSync

MirrorSync is priced from two things: configurations (each solution you sync) and devices (each FileMaker Pro or Go client that syncs). Every license includes one free configuration and one free device so you can test.

Start at store.360works.com/mirrorsync:

  • Get a License Key — new customers. Start from one of the pricing examples, or build your own configuration and device list.
  • Add to Current License — existing customers adding devices or configuration types. Your current capabilities are shown in grey, and anything you add appears below them.
  • Renew a MirrorSync License — goes to the renewal screen for a MirrorSync key.

You can also reach the add screen from Actions → Add Capabilities in My Licenses, which fills in your license key for you. To see what your license currently allows — device count and each configuration type — use Actions → Show Details.

Devices get cheaper the more you buy at once, and your renewal price gives you the bulk rate as though you'd bought them all together, even if you added them in small batches over time.

Note:

Removing devices or configurations from a license can't be done in the store. Email support@360works.com and we'll adjust the license for you. (Freeing up a device seat so a different device can sync is separate, and you can do that yourself from the Licensing screen of the MirrorSync configuration client.)

For what counts as a configuration, how server-to-server licensing differs from server-to-client, and how to apply a key to a MirrorSync server, see the MirrorSync Licensing FAQ.

Buying and renewing a Portfolio license

A Portfolio License bundles nearly all 360Works products into one subscription, covering both MirrorSync and the plug-ins.

If you already own individual 360Works licenses, you can redeem them toward the Portfolio price. Add a Portfolio License to your cart, answer Yes when asked about redeeming previous purchases, then enter each license key and Registered To name. Each eligible license appears as a credit against the Portfolio price. Click Continue to Checkout when you're done.

Portfolio includes a generous MirrorSync allowance — 11 devices plus its included configuration — but it isn't unlimited, and MirrorSync server-to-server configurations aren't part of it at all. See Advanced pricing notes for how that affects your renewal price.

FileMaker Business Alliance members

FBA members can buy a Portfolio license at a discounted rate. This edition is for internal use within your own organization only — it covers your own development and your own in-house solutions, and it can't be used to deliver, host, or bundle 360Works products for clients. If you need licenses for client work, buy those separately, or ask us about a reseller account.

Email support@360works.com to get set up. The Registered To name on the order is verified against your FBA membership at checkout.

Advanced pricing notes

Two things can make a renewal price different from what you might expect.

Prorated credit for capabilities added partway through an annual term. If your license is billed annually and you add capabilities mid-term, you paid a full year's price for less than a full year of use. We credit the unused portion back at your next renewal, so the renewal is priced as though you'd bought everything together from the start. The credit shows as its own line in the renewal breakdown, and occasionally it covers the whole renewal, in which case checkout tells you no payment is needed. Monthly billing charges a month at a time, so there's nothing to prorate.

Portfolio renewals can cost more than the base Portfolio price. Portfolio covers 11 MirrorSync devices and its included configuration. If you've added devices or configurations beyond that — and server-to-server configurations always count as beyond it — the extras are priced into your Portfolio renewal. Actions → Show Details breaks this down, so you can see exactly which capabilities are being charged for and which are covered by Portfolio itself.

Generating a quote

Need a formal quote before your organization will approve the purchase?

  1. Build your cart exactly as you would to buy — including a renewal, if that's what you're quoting.
  2. Fill in the contact and company details at checkout. Payment details aren't needed for a quote.
  3. Click Generate Quote instead of the payment button.

You get a link to a printable quote you can save, email, or hand to purchasing. It lists every line item, any discounts, the total, our company and tax details, and, for renewals, the dates your coverage runs from and to plus the full price breakdown. Prices are frozen at the moment you generate it.

Quotes are good for 30 days; after that, generate a fresh one. A quote isn't an invoice, and we can't deliver license keys against a purchase order — keys are issued when payment is received in full. You're welcome to record your PO number in the comments field at checkout so it appears on your receipt.

Receipts and license keys

Your license key and a paid receipt are emailed to you as soon as payment is approved. To get another copy later:

  • Actions → Original Receipt opens the receipt for that order.
  • Actions → Show Details shows the license key itself, plus the full history of the license: the original purchase, every renewal, every add-on, and every upgrade, each with its date, price, and a link to that order's receipt.

That history is the quickest way to answer "what exactly am I paying for?" — it shows how the license grew over time and which order each piece came from.
